| WHAT IS SEBA? The Saskatchewan Elk Breeders Association or SEBA is a non-profit
association recognized by the provincial government as the voice of the industry in
Saskatchewan. SEBA's agenda is to promote and protect the elk industry, by being
instrumental in the education, research and development for the betterment of the elk
industry.
Knowledge is an important part of SEBA's business
activities. This makes itself apparent for example, in connection with hosting the Annual
Convention and General Meeting, the Elk Velvet Classic competition, the SEBA Select Sale,
all of which connect breeders to the end market. Other promotional tools are; a
newsletter, website with links to the industry, seminars and trade shows.
SEBA acts as a facilitator in educating members and the
general public on the rewards and opportunities of being actively involved in a rapidly
growing industry linked to global markets.
