Prepared By Dr. John S. ChurchDr. John Church, Game
Farm Manager for Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts, is responsible for the construction of
game farm facilities and the purchase, care and management of wapiti, bison,
white–tailed deer and reindeer. Dr. Church received both his B.Sc. in Wildlife
Management and his Ph.D. in Rangeland and Wildlife Resources from the University of
Alberta. In between these studies, he received his M.Sc. in Biology: Applied Animal
Behavior at Dalhousie University in Halifax. In addition to his current position, Dr.
Church has worked as a researcher at the Centre for Agricultural Diversification at Dawson
Creek, BC working with bison, and as an instructor in the Diversified Livestock program at
Lakeland College in Vermilion.
